Nakiska Snowdown

The world’s ski cross and snowmobile freestyle stars are coming together on December 8, 2012 when the Audi FIS Ski Cross World Cup and the Monster Energy Snowmobile Freestyle headline the Nakiska Snowdown. You’ll want to get there early to take in Snow Farmer (an open market to kick off winter), a free Kidzone, a beer garden and an amateur invitational DJ contest.

Audi FIS Ski Cross World Cup

2012 will mark the birth of the Nakiska Audi FIS Ski Cross World Cup stop. As the first race on the ski cross World Cup circuit, the event will set the stage for the upcoming season. One-hundred and ninety of the world’s best skiers, from 25 nations, will be vying for $30,000 in prize money awarded to the medallists.

With an ideal layout and easy accessibility, Nakiska Mountain Resort is a prime location to host this world-class event. A quick 45-minute drive from Calgary guarantees athletes a cheering section that will push them to compete at their best, plus the resort’s base area offers spectators easy access to all the Nakiska Snowdown festivities.
