Vail Resorts Makes Bold Expansion Into Austria

After years of minimal change to its European offerings, Vail Resorts has made a decisive move into Austria, announcing six new partner resorts for the 2025–26 ski season.

Vail Resorts has significantly expanded its European offerings for the 2025–26 ski season by adding six prominent Austrian ski resorts to the Epic Pass network. This marks a notable shift after years of minimal changes to its European partnerships.

The newly added Austrian resorts are:

Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn (Skicircus)

Zell am See-Kaprun (including Kitzsteinhorn Glacier)

Mayrhofen

Hintertux Glacier

Silvretta Montafon

Sölden

Epic Pass holders will receive five days of access at each of these resorts. Notably, Sölden offers five days of access without the requirement for consecutive use, providing added flexibility for skiers and snowboarders.

This expansion enhances the Epic Pass’s value for those looking to explore the Austrian Alps, offering a diverse range of terrains and experiences across these renowned ski destinations.

Until now, Austria had been largely absent from Epic’s European portfolio, which had primarily included limited access in France, Italy, and Switzerland. This abrupt expansion signals a renewed effort by Vail Resorts to boost the global value of its pass and counter competitive growth from multi-resort offerings like the Ikon Pass and Mountain Collective.

For skiers planning European trips or looking to maximize value with international access, this marks the most substantial addition to the Epic Pass in years—and a major step into the heart of the Alps.
