The Indy Pass has added 12 ski areas to its 2022-23 roster, including its first in Ontario, as well as three other Alpine partners, four cross-country resorts, and four Allied resorts.
Indy’s resort-collecting binge continues as the pass adds a dozen more ski areas to its collection: four full downhill partners, four new Allied mountains, and four cross-country ski areas. Put those together with Indy’s existing roster, and you get this: an astonishing 133 ski areas spread across three tiers: 101 downhill, 18 cross-country, 14 Allied.
Calabogie Peaks Resort in Ontario is eastern Canada’s first ski area to join the Indy Pass coalition. “We are excited to have a new partner in Ontario to complement our New England roster,” said Pass founder Doug Fish.
The tallest public ski resort in Ontario, Calabogie is located in the Ottawa Valley on the shores of Calabogie Lake. With 780 feet of vertical and an elevation of 1,285 feet, it offers 25 runs on 80 acres.
“The Indy Pass supports scores of independent resorts in the US and western Canada,” said Paul Murphy, owner of Calabogie. “We are excited to be the first generation to share Ontario hospitality with its passholders.”
In addition to Calabogie Peaks, the latest Indy Pass partners include Alpine Loch Lomond Ski Area in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Arctic Valley, Alaska, and Mt. Crescent, Iowa on the Alpine front; cross-country areas Bear Valley Adventure Center, Calif., Crosscut Mountain Sports Center, Mont., Jay Peak Cross Country Center, Vt., and Nickle Plate Cross Country Ski Club in British Columbia; and Allied partners Sleeping Giant, Wyo., Snowstar Winter Park, Ill., Dry Hill, N.Y., and Whitecap, Wis.
Indy passholders receive two lift tickets and a third discounted day at each Alpine and cross-country partner resort and discounted day tickets at Allied partners.
Thirty-seven partner resorts have been added to its 2022-23 pass since SAM last reported on it on Sept. 16. At the time, Indy’s year-to-date revenue was up 67 percent and units sold up 52 percent over the 2021-22 season.
