A significant in-bounds avalanche has been reported at Nevados de Chillan, Chile this last Saturday, August 26, 2017.
Nevados de Chillan has been seeing incredible amounts of snow this season including in the days leading up to this avalanche.
Ski Patrol and by standers immediately started a probe search for bodies. The rider who set off the avalanche rode away unharmed and proceeded to go to the bar a grab a cold one without reporting his status.
Remember to always check in with Ski Patrol if you set off an avalanche in bounds and in the backcountry always report to your local avalanche association.
