Elan introduces a folding ski, the Elan Voyager, the world’s first folding all-mountain ski.
Skiers definitely have concerns about their performance. Will they break? Can they carve on groomers and float through pow? How will they perform on tough terrain?
My question is why? Elan says for the convenience. Having to fold them would be an inconvenience for me however I life five minutes from the lift and not everybody has that luxury.
Elan says the Voyager will happily tackle anything a demanding skier can throw at it all without compromising an ounce of performance thanks to their revolutionary Connect Technology and carbon-reinforced fusion plate.
Elan sent a pair to Ski Cross World Champion Filip Flisar and gave him one instruction … shred hard! Hit the box, earn your turns, overshoot jumps, essentially do anything you can to try and break them, and report back..
